I cannot get this installed and I have tried all of the tips. I have WindowsXP 2002 SP2 and cannot get this to load. It will not let me load the smxml.msi file at all.
I am so frustrated I want to pitch the entire system into the river, can somebody please lend a brain to this for me. Thanks.

Mary - please see my posts and Wayne's related response in the "problems when downloading prequisites" thread.
My problem and yours sound similar and, allowing for variation in description, may well be the same. In which case, "Wayne's Widget" will work the same wonders for you that it did for me. Good luck!
