Our newish javascript solver program has been available at
http://www.sudokuhints.com for a few weeks now.
Features include optional hints, both vague ones (box to look at only)
and ordinary ones (both box and number),
as well as single step and all at once solving capability.
Possibilities or pencilmarks for each empty square can be shown or hidden.
We also have a daily rated puzzle in the range mild, moderate, hard, or wicked,
and an archive of past puzzles.
We are developing small, medium, and large grids that look better
for small 800x600, medium 1024x768, and large 1152x864+ screen
resolutions. These will be running in late June 2005.

In fairness to nxn, I took down one of his posts but invited him to amend it and re-post it. This is the re-post.

OK, in light of that, I apologise for the terseness of my previous post.

Edit: If one of the threads was cancelled, I still don't understand why the last 3 threads in "Solver programs" still all pertain to this one site.

:)I think you've mixed up ranc's posts with nxn's posts.

I hadn't notice ranc's double posting, so I've trimmed him back to one.
