JSudoku

Programs which generate, solve, and analyze Sudoku puzzles

JSudoku

I used to use the subject program years ago to generate puzzles and then import them into Richard's SS program. Is JSudoku still availble from Jean? His was the only program that could create many different puzzle variants with specific solving techniques incorporated.

I still have the program and installed it on a new computer. However as I recall it was tricky to set it up to to create the types of puzzles I desired.

I see Richard has a new version from when I left off years ago with 3.6.3. What has been added?

Jean disappeared from the Sudoku scene about the same time as Ruud, sadly. His forum and Web site (where the program resided) is long gone. As you still have a copy, you are good to go on that point. I don't recall it being especially tricky to set up, but you may have used it in a different way from the way I use(d) it.
