I am transferring sudoku from pc to my laptop. Is there a way to transfer the "hall of fame" info that currently resides somewhere on the pc? I can not find the file.

Sorry, there is no way to do that.
The Hall of Fame belongs to a particular computer, and (by design) cannot be transferred to a different computer. Allowing the transfer of the data would allow the Hall of Fame to be "manipulated" by installing it on a new (and possibly undeserving) computer.
