Hi,

I've just purloined the Times "Ultimate Su Doku" book.

Forgive an obvious question but are the "superior" level puzzles on a par with the "very hard" puzzles produced by the Pappocom programme?

Further to this, what level is Ultra Fiendish? Would that be Pappocom program Very Hard?

I think it depends on which ultra-fiendishes you mean. The hardest puzzles in the Ultimate book are referred to as both "Superior" and "Ultra Fiendish" (I think). Those puzzles are Pappocom V.HARDs. The "ultra-fiendishes" related to the Times Su Doku Championships were all just particularly hard HARDs.
